Frank Bowling Foundation officially launches. The Frank Bowling Foundation launched on 24 June 2026 as a registered charity dedicated to expanding public access to art education through the work of Sir Frank Bowling OBE RA. Committed to education and outreach, it operates an archive and collection of his works. Through exhibitions, research, bursaries, and public loans, the Foundation ensures his work inspires future generations worldwide. Read more here.
Frank Bowling painting to enter the Royal Collection. Self Made (2020) – a work currently on display in the Royal Drawing School's exhibition, Driven to Draw – will be gifted to the Royal Collection following the exhibition's close. Ben Bowling and Sacha Bowling, sons of the 92-year-old artist, presented the work to Their Majesties The King and Queen at a reception at St James's Palace on 23 June 2026.
New limited edition print marks Fitzwilliam show. In celebration of his seven-decade career and first solo exhibition at the Fitzwilliam Museum, Frank has released a signed limited-edition print of Swan (1964). Working with the London-based printer Coriander Studio, the print is available to purchase online and in store at the museum.
Frank's first solo exhibition in East Asia. Frank Bowling. Like Water opened in Hong Kong last month, bringing together a selection of works from the 1960s to 2020 that showcase his mastery of luminous colour and surface texture. To mark the exhibition, a series of events took place, including an intimate talk at the M+ Lounge, an exhibition walkthrough and an educational children's workshop with The Bridge+.
